Ways these Broncos together with their 'play-dough' quarterback can stop the Chiefs' rule.

NFL 2025 season: Week six
Real-time updates includes text commentary for the weekend matchups on various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary is available on select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).
We're in the sixth week in the football calendar , after last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as possible championship contenders, they both lost their unbeaten records.
Notable during those contests was the amount of infractions each conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period versus Denver, who play in London this weekend.
However it proved good to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie managed to have the shortfall before lead three scoring drives on three possessions in the fourth quarter, securing the game 21-17.
Denver have the defensive player of the year in CB Pat Surtain II. They rank first in goal-line defense, while Philadelphia are number one in red zone offence, and the Broncos won that battle.
They executed effective strategies regarding simulated pressure. They weren't always sending more than four pass rushers but they might plug two linebackers in the interior before withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.
At the start of the season, it was noted during a show that the Broncos might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year strongly then did a good job in continuing that momentum.
Could Denver be this season's underdog story?
Recently acquired tight end their tight end has stepped up big and new RB JK Dobbins is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth in the NFL for rushing yards (402) as well as tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).
I love how the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.
That shows how Denver are a team that wants to prioritize the run, since you can achieve much off the back of that. It slows down the pass rush and maintains in favourable situations.
This has benefited quarterback Bo Nix, who entered into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to pass all over, however they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has incredible arm talent, a unique trait, plus he's highly agile.
His strengths include his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, and using varied release points to make the pass as he moves outside protection, the bootlegs. He can deliver that layered pass across the middle and past defenders.
As a rookie QB, at 25, he's got a lot of poise under pressure and isn't bothered by the blitz. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able throw under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and is very decisive.
When you consistently rush it consumes time and makes the defence to stay on the field extended periods, and if you've got an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the field vertically and horizontally. It can be draining.
The quarterback has bitten back at Payton during games at times and it seems Payton appreciates that fire, that he's such a competitor. I think it's fun for the coach to have a rookie QB who's similar to play-dough. The coach can truly build something up the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a special experience for him.
The head coach has won a championship and has passed a legend in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the achievements the Broncos are experiencing offensively is largely down to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the combination with the QB aids make him what he is.
You wouldn't want a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.
Right now, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, which is a solid position to be in their division. All they need to do is maintain this path.
They're really good at embracing their strength, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.
New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground per game (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (10th worst), and they're the sole squad without a win any game.
Since the NFL began tracking takeaways decades ago, this team are also the first team to be without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising when you think that the head coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.
The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start after a recent loss to Jacksonville.
After this Sunday's game, Denver have a manageable slate up to their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.
Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the division.
It depends upon what version of the Chiefs they meet because Denver {beat|def
