Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack

Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
